Trouble Shooting Guide

If you are having difficulty logging in or staying logged in, use these options:

NOTE: If you are using a domain name redirect to get to your login page it will not allow you to stay logged into the site. To log in you will want to go to one of your original affiliate sites. Example: rather than going to www.mysitename.com you will want to type in http://mysiteid.ownanewbusiness.com and then click on the Members Only link to enter.

Note to MAC Users:
You need to make sure you use the latest version of Netscape Navigator available for the MAC operating system. Click here to download . If you are still experiencing difficulty logging in, follow the directions below.

Step 1: Check the version of your browser
  • If you use Microsoft Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator go to the Help menu and select "About Internet Explorer" or "About Netscape". If the version of Internet Explorer is anything less than 6.0 or if the version of Netscape is anything less than 7.1 you'll want to upgrade your browser.

Step 2: Make sure your system clock and time zone settings are correct

  • If you are having difficulty staying logged in (or can't log in at all) you'll need to check your system clock and time zone settings.
  • First double-click on the digital clock in the bottom right corner of you computer screen.
  • You will now see the Date and Time Properties.
  • Now go to the Time Zone tab at the top
  • Use the drop down menu to set the time zone to your local region (Pacific time, Mountain time, Central time, Eastern time).
    NOTE: Also be sure to check the check box at the bottom which says "Automatically adjust clock for daylight savings changes".
  • Go back to the Date and Time tab and make sure that the clock is showing the correct day of the month and time for your area.
  • Once you are done, click the "Apply" button and then click the "OK" button. You should now be able to login.

Step 3: Make sure your cookies are enabled

FOR MICROSOFT INTERNET EXPLORER 6.0

  • You must be using version 6.0 or greater for these instructions to work.
  • Go to the menu "Tools" and in the drop down go to the bottom and choose "Internet Options".
  • In the popup window click on the "Privacy" tab.
  • Next you should see a slider that slides vertically with text to the right of it describing the settings. Set it to MEDIUM or below and click the "Apply" button and then click the "OK" button. Log into your site.

FOR NETSCAPE 7.1

  • You must be using version 7.1 or greater for these instructions to work.
  • Go to the menu "Edit" and in the drop down go to the bottom and choose "Preferences".
  • In the popup window look under the "Categories" list on the left side and click on the link "Privacy & Security".
  • A list should drop down under the "Privacy & Security" link and you should see "Cookies" as the first option. Click on "Cookies"
  • You should see an option three down from the top which says "Enable cookies based on privacy policy settings" with a "View" button to the right of it. Make sure that this option is selected and click the "View" button.
  • A popup comes up and in it you should see several options across the top: Low, Medium, High, and Custom.
  • Make sure medium is selected and then click the "OK" button.
  • In the "Privacy & Security" page click the "OK" button. Log into your site.
